FO: A Homespun House Advent KAL

No, you aren’t reading that wrong. I just finished my Advent KAL by Molly Klatt, using her A Homespun House Mystery Advent skeins from 2019. I may have finally realized that the weeks leading up to Christmas are not a good time to start a project. That being said, this is a lovely pattern and I adore A Homespun House yarn. If Molly repeats the Advent KAL, I strongly urge you to consider taking part.

I broke my cardinal rule of knitting during this Coronavirus Lockdown and cast on three different projects. I don’t do well with too many projects. It seems like I work on them all a little bit but never get anywhere. And, when I start a project, I don’t like the idea of waiting years to finish a project. I’m a semi-instant gratification kinda gal. Socks, a blanket and a shawl…what was I thinking!

My Advent KAL shawl is being modeled by my 16 year old daughter.

This shawl pattern, though, is easily manageable to do one hint per week of Advent and the sections are simple enough to be relaxing and complicated enough to keep you interested. I’ll admit the 350+ stitches of purling did push me over the edge a few times but I did find myself reaching for this project over the others.

**I don’t think you can purchase this pattern through any other medium other than Ravelry. I do know that a lot of people have had issues with the new Ravelry design so I wanted to let people know what following the links above for the pattern may take you to Ravelry for purchase.**
