I thought I’d join in with Karen at Pumpkin Sunrise and share bits of my weekend. Such as it was, when I didn’t venture far from my house.
Luckily we live near the river so it gives us a chance to explore without anyone nearby. We’ve taken the dogs for a LOT of long walks. They’re both happy and exhausted. 😉
As I’m writing this, it is snowing outside. (Hello, New England.) But there are lots of signs that spring is here. I’ve gotten out a few times to work on the beds here and there, but it’s been too chilly this weekend to spend too much time out. Hopefully, this weekend will be warmer.
I’m not a fan of daffodils, but we inherited a ton from the previous owners. I can’t wait for them this year. I want to fill the house with flowers to brighten the indoors. I saw over the weekend that this may be the new normal for 10-12 weeks which means we may miss spring altogether.
I’m hoping that this is over long before that but we will do what we need to do to flatten the curve. It has been nice to see some fences being mended (at least on Facebook) after three years of political polarization. If that could last beyond the virus, that would be a positive thing to come out of this.
But, if nothing else, I have plenty of knitting and reading to keep me occupied. I’ve been working on the shawl and making great progress. And, since winter doesn’t seem ready to leave completely, I’m sure I’ll get plenty of wear out of it over the next couple of months.
